Business is at the core of YME
We will use it as a means of sustaining ourselves in conjunction with donations, and it is how we will teach youth valuable life lessons outside of the classroom.
As the YME Foundation grows, we will add several more businesses to our network of services. Every time you choose to do business with one of our networked businesses, you will be supporting education and local business.
There will be a clear distinction made between partner businesses and the YME network of businesses. Partners are local businesses that choose to support YME through donating, fundraising, and allowing students enrolled in our work-study program to be involved with their company whether through internships, learning workshops, or paid/volunteer positions. Companies in the YME network are non-profit businesses that are run by the organization and profit is brought back to supporting the foundation.
Our first Network Business offers Limousine services
Thanks to a local businessman donating his entire limousine business, students enrolled in YME’s work study program will learn vehicle detailing and maintenance. Participating students will also be trained to serve as a chauffeur. Dressed in a tux, they will open doors for passengers and usher customers to their destination. When you choose to hire a YME affiliated business, the profits generated from the product or service go directly back to the foundation.

Real Estate Program — Give without writing a check!
Are you getting ready to buy or sell real estate? Do you know someone who is getting ready to buy or sell real estate? Of course you do! We all know someone buying, selling, or getting ready to.
YME is working to create a network of professional realtors who know, understand, and support YME. These professionals will donate a portion of their commissions to help support YME!
Please fill out THIS FORM and we will have one of our support professionals get in touch with you. You can use the agent of your choice if you choose, or we can help you find one.
Please share this program with friends and family on social media to help spread the word. Anyone can support YME!
Future On-Site Business
We don’t want any family to miss out on our innovative teaching methods and vocational enrichment programs due to finances. That’s why we created a self-sustaining model to support tuition for each student. On-campus industries will not only provide for the financial needs of the facility, salaries of employees, and tuition of students, but students will have the unique opportunity to safely explore various vocational engagement programs and discover which ones they are passionate about.
In addition, we will partner with local businesses and organizations to offer youth volunteer opportunities, internships, and entry-level jobs. When students reach employment age, and after an allotted amount of time in the work study program, they will be placed in jobs with local businesses. Not only will this program give students a chance to learn skills outside of the classroom, it gives businesses an opportunity to hire young people already skilled in their trade.
Daycare– Molding Future Mentors
Our full-time daycare program will combine education with fun and give participating students an opportunity to learn how to care for younger children with adult supervision! Student mentors will read to the children as well as interact with them on our indoor playground filled with suspended tunnels, slides, a ball pit, and a fully functioning carousel. There’s even an ice cream parlor where children can gather for a treat and students can gain valuable serving and management skills.
Therapy Dogs– A Doggone Good Idea
Therapy dogs have positively impacted the lives of young and old especially in schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. These trained animals can calm an anxious child with aspergers and make them feel comfortable so they can learn to engage in the classroom. For seniors, especially in assisted living situations, therapy dogs can offer companionship and a better quality of life. YME’s dog therapy program will not only benefit the lives of those who need their services, but students will learn to care for and understand the needs of these animals. Students will be instrumental in training these dogs to improve the lives of people in the community.
Coffee Shop-Empowering Espresso
Enjoy the great outdoors inside. If the aromas coming from our bakery don’t captivate your senses, the sights and sounds of the great outdoors will. The chirping of live birds will fill the air as you sip your sustainably-harvested espresso and tea surrounded by trees and plants tended to by horticulture students. You can relax knowing not only are you enjoying a great cup of coffee, but you’re helping empower our children to explore and develop their talents. All the proceeds from the sales of the coffee shop, including the flowers and plants, will go to fund YME and our community projects.
